On March 26 and 27, 2008 the international presentation of Bashkortostan Republic devoted to the 450-anniversary of Bashkiria free-will joining Russia will take place in the UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
Bashkortostan is located on the border between Europe and Asia. Here peoples of more than hundred nationalities, various cultures and beliefs have been living in consent throughout centuries.
Being one of the leading regions of Russia it develops international contacts and has one of the best sanatorium-resort systems.
At different times, Sergey Aksakov, Feodor Shalyapin, Rudolf Nureev, Vladimir Spivakov and other celebrities lived here.
Visitors will see part of the historical background and modern Bashkortostan, capable to be a worthy partner to the world community.
